CHIPMUNK DIVISION (4,5 & 6 YEAR OLDS) 

The coordinator places players on teams. This is a non-competitive instructional league, designed to give the players the basics and fundamentals of street hockey. Teams will meet once or twice a week for 1-2 hours.  Each session is part practice and part game play. Coaches are permitted on the rink to teach the players during the game. There are no referees in this division and there will be no scorekeeping or winning / losing at this level. There are almost no penalties at this level.  EVERY PLAYER RECEIVES TROPHY.

 

PENGUIN DIVISION (7, 8, & 9 YEAR OLDS) 

Players are rated and drafted on to their respective teams. This is a semi-competitive but still very instructional league designed to teach some strategies, rules, and positioning in addition to the fundamentals. The teams will play (2-3) games/practices per week. The coaches will be off the rink during the game and each game has referees. There is scorekeeping and standings are kept at this level. There will be some type of playoffs at the end of the regular season, with trophies awarded to the first and second place teams. All rules and penalties will apply. 

 

BEAVER DIVISION (10, 11, & 12 YEAR OLDS) 

Players are rated and drafted on to their respective teams. This is a competitive league, designed to teach more strategies, positioning, and some of the finer points of the game. The players should have a pretty good understanding of the game by this age group.The teams will play (2-3) games/practices per week.  Each game has referees and standings are kept at this level. There will be some type of playoffs at the end of the regular season, with trophies awarded to the first and second place teams. All rules and penalties will apply. 

 

CADET DIVISION (13, 14, 15 YEAR OLDS)

Players are rated and drafted and/or placed on to their respective teams. This is a competitive league, designed to teach total game strategies with concentration on all points of the game. The players should know the game well and have a competitive attitude. The teams will play (2-3) games/practices per week. Each game has two or three referees and standings are kept at this level. There will be some type of playoffs at the end of the regular season, with trophies awarded to the first and second place teams. All rules and penalties will apply. (16 Year Olds are not eligible to play Cadet hockey)

 

FRESHMEN DIVISION (15,16,17,18,& 19 YEAR OLDS)

Players are drafted and/or placed on their respective teams.  THIS IS A HIGHLY COMPETITIVE LEAGUE.  Standings are kept.  Playoffs at the end of the season.  ALL RULES AND PENALTIES APPLY.  Penalties are 2 minutes and 5 minutes, minor and major.   (Any 15 year old who would like to play Freshman hockey needs to let the Freshman Coordinators know email Scott Tarzy scott.tarzy@gmail.com)
